A 912 Edition shoot.
Got ambitious today and went nuts installing and uninstalling stuffs. Bought an orbital and some polish, swore heavily that I would never ever own a black car again, and went to work.
As the car sits now, modifications include: -full TRD Sportivo suspension -17" Mini S Lites -MicroImage 6000K Projector retrofit -mud guards (new) -window tint 18% -Matrix/xB shift knob -xB bazooka tube woofer -Kenwood components/tweets in the front doors -under seat amplifier -tC T1814 Pioneer headunit -LED tail bulbs -Nokya Yellow Fogs Looking forward to more time this weekend to install: -Hatch lipspoiler -Center exit exhaust (a la Cooper S) -Sharkfin antenna Ditched the Georgia front plate and the magnet on the side. For now. Football season isn't on and I decided it looked cleaner for now. I am no pro photographer and these shots are entirely unedited aside from the one with mad contrast and the only post production was watermarking them. Hell, my laptop that I watermarked them with doesn't even have PS on it. I am in terrible need of tires (the run flats are ATROCIOUS, heavy, loud, and hard) or to ditch the Mini rims all together, so that will probably happen before the exhaust and spoiler. Anyway. Enjoy. I'm gonna have a beer now. Because I can. PS: Damn Photobucket for compressing file sizes. They don't look nearly as good as the hi-res files. Eh, oh well. -C

Car's a bit underexposed in some of the pics. Also, use the self timer or a remote if you're using a tripod (if you're not using a tripod, the you have very steady hands, lmao), a couple of pics seem to be out of focus a bit. Ideas for picture composition is good. A speedlite/flash would help with the underexposure (I need to get myself a flash as well for this very reason).

I even already have the dual slash cut tip that I want to use. You are the inspiration.
I know they aren't perfect. Flash bulb blew on the umbrella and the flash on the camera was horrid. It's too late to play more with post production so I figured I'd just throw them up as they are since it was all for fun anyway. They aren't going in my portfolio, but a couple of high res ones are cycling on the screen saver. YAR1S, the projector kit is from Micro Image. There's a thread outlining the tantrum I threw while building mine, but they are aimed and sealed up and I haven't had an ounce of problems with them since. Several other members have done the retrofit as well with little to no problems. -C

And yes, a center exit has been on the list since I saw the other guy with a sedan that had it. I can't remember his name but it was a Bayou Blue sorta colored sedan. I know he changed his tip to something else. But the center dual slash cut has been my favorite since I became a member of this site and I swore I'd do it to mine because I don't think I've seen but one liftback with center exit. It just looks...proper. -C

Yeah, I did my center exit with a slant cut tip. That member, who I forget the name as well, had the Magnaflow concept and was straight cut and rolled tip. Just to get you drooling some more |

Looks great! Love how the projectors came out. And I've always liked the S-Lites, pretty similar design to my wheels.

Major love for those headlights, did you black them out yourself? Everything fits really nice, your car stands out without looking overdone. Not quite sure how I like the rims, I think the spokes are a little wide for my tastes. But that's just my opinion, and it's not worth much haha!
Center-exit exhaust would be so hot, I'd love to see it. Overall, looks sick man. Good job! |
