I knowwwww :( according to my insurance company my 07 was only worth 7k even with just 65000 miles on it. I hope the butthole who totaled it is happy.

I mean I guess I can do $9000 but nothing higher.

I don't know how far you are willing to travel but if you checked kijiji toronto - there is one (2008 RS model) with 40,000 km (24,000 miles) - asking price is $11,000 but you could try offering $9,000 as the seller wants it gone ASAP

There is another one - a 2007 with 144,000 km (about 85,000 miles) for $5,500

There are a few others on the site

The other option is to just search kijiji ads in various cities in the USA

oh that really stinks. Yea the value of these cars is crazy. They are going sideways and up instead of down.

When I was looking into a Yaris .. I checked with one of the local Toyota dealers and the car I was looking at (2007 RS 3 Door LB with 161,000 km) (100,000 miles) was valued at $5500 Canadian. According to the dealer the mileage didn't make that much of a difference ... it was the features that made a difference in the price. Things like the power package and overall options increased the value.

I bought the vehicle privately about 2 months ago for $4500 Canadian ... so I think that your price is not that far out. However, I did find that most private sales of Yaris' did ask for a lot more as used Toyota cars are just desirable on the used market. Simple supply and demand .. I would think that not too many people are interested in selling their Yaris'.
