Lower control arm replacement 2005 Echo ?
My brother has a 2005 Echo 4 door hatchback that needs lower control arm bushings replaced, but apparently the bushings can't be replaced seperately. How difficult a job is it to replace the lower control arm itself? Autozone's website says most of the front suspension has to be disassembled in order to change them, but a service manual I found online says something different.
Also, is there a difference in the control arms between different years? One website I looked at has the lower control arms for 73 bucks for a 2000 Echo, but lower control arms for a 2005 are 103 a piece. Why the price difference? Will the ones for a 2000 fit my brother's 2005? |
