Up graded from 15's to 16's, 185/60/15 to 205/50/16. The difference is amazing. Tires worked out to be almost the same height installed. No rubbing.
The tires are Made by Nexen. Really good brand for really good cost. Last edited by nick1983; 04-10-2007 at 11:11 AM. |

I will get some once it is out of the shop. Putting them on I noticed that the paint was actually peeling off my drivers side fender. It is getting repainted under warrenty.

I think I am going to get 15 with 205/50. I'd like to see some pics of what you've installed.

205/50 R15 not too small
I know you say 205/55 R15 or 225/55 R15 but I checked the tire calc and205/50 R15 is by no means way too small. It is within the reccomended tire size. I'll register slightly over the speed limit. Sure 205/55 R15 is a bit closer to stock but... here we go... Lots of guys running 205/50 R15 now I aint puttin' no shity looking 40's on there

Ideal *sizing* for the Yaris (IMO of course) is 195/55 15 or 195/50 16. If a sticky 195/55 15 was good enough for a 195 hp Integra Type R from Honda race engineers, it's ok for a Yaris.

Guys, bigger wheels mean less torque, and less power, and slower off the line performance, ah, and lower MPG...looks aside, what good are they?!?

I put 18's on my Golf and hated it. I want no more than 15 inchers on this car personally. I have seen 16's that love very nice though and it is tempting, but, no.
