I'm baaaaaack ;)

So, after purchasing the car, it needed a new engine. Head gasket was SHOT so I picked up a nice used engine from AM auto parts for $700 delivered ( I highly recommend these guys the only issue I had was delivery issues due to snow). They don't charge anything for shipping. All accessories are on the car too which is great because most places wanted around 1k just for an engine with no accessories. The engine I got from them only had 18k miles. :D Anyways, I had my mechanic install it as I don't have a garage and no room to do major maintenance. He charged $600 to install so, I had him put in a new radiator while he was at it. All in all around $1400 for the engine swap which in my book isn't that bad. The shops here at the beach wanted like 3k just to do a head gasket. I guess that's where having a Tacoma and a tow dolly pays off :D So now, I just purchased a new front bumper and all new splash guards because the previous owner had apparently hit something and tried using zip ties and bolts/nuts to hold everything together. I plan on getting the bumper painted and installing all of this once it comes in! Glad to have the '09 back on the road. I sure missed those MPG's!!!!

It was listed at 5500 but I ended up paying 4500 for it so I pretty much broke even with what it is valued at via kbb then factor in the new low mileage engine so I should have a beater car for under 6k that will last me many many years if all goes well. When I bought the car I wasn't aware of the problems until about a week into it when it was ran hot once which may or may not have done the head gasket/head in. It had a coolant leak from somewhere and the p/o said they changed the radiator, I changed hoses and it still leaked from somewhere underneath so I eventually purchased the radiator.

Does anyone have a IPB showing the splash guards (engine), the wheel wells, and the front bumper? I need to know what fasteners I have to order to hold them all together! Thanks!
