Rear tail light problems....

My left tail light is currently out and not working.

I have checked the fuses and know its good, also the right side tail/brake lights are working and I know its only 1 fuse that power's both sides.

I have tried switching the light bulbs and that didn't work.

I have also tried swtiching out the the tail ends of that connected to the power and this also was not successful.


Any other things I could possibly try?

Does just the tail not work, or do both the tail and brake not work?

If it is both, try jumping the white/black wire to a solid chassis ground and see if that makes it work again.

they both won't work, call me an idiot here but how do i jumpstart a solid chassis ground? where on a yaris would i find this?

My question was - On the not working side is both the tail light and brake light not working or is just the tail not working?

They both are not working.

Them both not working points to a ground issue, as that is the only thing common about them. By jumping it to a chassis ground I mean taking a piece of wire and making connection between the pin on the taillight connector and a chassis ground point (bare metal). Since the other side is working, you can also jump from the white/black wire one side to the other.
