yeah it is sad that my 94 base model had more options than the base yaris. I thought drum brakes were a thing of the past but I guess not.

I don't think it's yet been determined there will be no changes for '08.

The changes I posted in the other thread are confirmed and provided by TOYOTA, Canada to all product advisors in Canada.

To find out about upcoming changes to 2008 Yaris in the US, please contact a product advisor in your area.

www.toyota.com and search for a dealer in your area. Call the dealership and ask for a product advisor and then advise the advisor that you would like to know what changes there are for the 2008 Yaris. He may have to look it up; however, he should know. If for whatever reason he does not know... ask for a sales manager.

The ordering guides have been released and dealership managers will need to know these answers in order to place orders for 2008 Yaris' for their respected dealerships.

Good luck.

It would be much easier for you to call a local dealer in Arizona (home State) and establish a relationship with a product advisor (make sure you get a good one)

Motor Trend 2008-2009 NEW CARS! issue:

Quote:
For 2008, a sport-grade hatch, with front/rear spoilers, Optitron gauges, and interior trim upgrades, joins the existing "S"sedan. Both base and "S" Yari add a direct tire-pressure monitor and parking brake unlock reminder.
In short, we now get a "S" hatchback!

Sounds like the "RS" version we already get in CANADA.
