MK1 Yaris Braking Fault (Help)

Hi guys,

This is my first post but I need some help if possible. My car when braking will make a twang noise like someone's plucking a guitar string and at the same time, the pedal rebounds once and feels harder/crunchier to press down.

It's only when braking slowly or if I'm crawling to a stop and happens below 5mph or so. It doesn't happen if I brake aggressively or harder with less crawling etc.

I've replaced discs and pads, I've wire brushed the caliper/carrier and regreased/cleaned the slider pins. There is no ABS light, the garage by me thought maybe an ABS ring but said that it looks fine to them.
