Just went through my coin tins, I'm not broke, but bagged up $35 worth of coin to get changed at the bank. I keep 5c, 10c, 20c and 50c tins, keep all the denominations seperate, makes it easy to count.

That's right we don't have quarters. We also have $1 and $2 coins, but I keep them in another tin that i don't count until i cannot fill the tin anymore.

I do that, too. One for pennies 1c, one for nickles 5c, one for dimes 10c and one for quarters 25c. Of course the quarter one seems to get empty on it's on. I suspect they find their way to the machines at my husband's work.

I hate the $1 coins. Look too much like quarters to me and I am afraid I'll get them confused.

We used to have 1c and 2c coins, but the government got rid of them. So now what happens is.......

If you buy a product that is $2.12c if you pay cash you get it for $2.10c cause the 2c is rounded down. But if the item was $2.13c and you were to pay cash it would round up to $2.15.

But...

If you were to buy a $2.12 item using card then you would be charged $2.12.

So to sum it up

If an item is $2.12 pay cash and it rounds down to $2.10 (saving you 2 cents)
If an item is $2.13 pay by card as it stays the same and does not round up (saving you 2 cents)

Think that's confusing...... New Zealand, our eastern neighbour got rid of there 1c 2c and 5c coins so everything gets rounded up or down to the nearest 10c!

Getting a keeshond puppy ready to go. I have a lady from Virginia (Virgnia Beach area) on the way down to pick her up. She just got her bath and her nails clipped and I packed her some food, water and some tummy meds. Went ahead and wormed her again, too just to be safe. The lady is very excited. That is suppose to be this afternoon around 3:00.
