I would think that you would have problems with your CV joint or axle before the engine mount. You would hear a clunk sound when engaging the clutch or shifting.

I get the same sound. Our cars dont have a front engine mount like 99 percent of all the other cars on the market. I supose to save cost and i guess they figured a economy car with small power engine wont have that much torque. But quick shifts will make the engine jerk a bit.

You can get a nitto torque dampner which does help a bit or a stiffer rear mount such as trd or a solid one.

the rear one is underneath, also called the trans mount or "dogbone".
In the engine bay are the left and right engine mounts.

Please describe the damage, there's not much that can go wrong with that.

I just filled the voids in the "dogbone" mount with 3M window weld. It cut down on the movement ALOT, and it was 18 bucks for the tube @ pep boys.

shouldn't be too bad. The TRD one is harder rubber than stock, and it doesn't add much to the noise in the cabin.

Not bad at all. I have always used stiff inserts in honda mounts for years, and the vibration in the Yaris with the window weld in the mount is not noticeable to me, but the engine movement is greatly reduced. I could feel the engine rocking back and forth before I did this, now I dont feel it rocking. I like it
