Rhino ramps
I'm going to start changing my own oil and was curious if anyone has had any experience with Rhino ramps and if they work with the Yaris in terms of clearance? Thanks in advance.

They should work fine. I changed my oil on my 09 with conventional ramps, which have a much higher lift. The rhino ramps work well with lower ground clearance cars like my 2020 Corolla and 2011 Lexus I S250 C. Here’s a picture. There isn’t as much room to work under the car with the rhino ramps. But it should approve adequate. They are also easier to drive the car up on than my old ones I bought at Pep Boys maybe 30 years ago.

ive actualy found with the yaris..if you lower it or have chins, what youll want to do is make a "step"...basicly buy 2 8ft 2x6's cut at 3, 2.5 and 2, you then "stagger" them so make em into a smooth long ramp 2ft on the bottom with the 3 on top of it stuck out a bit with the .5 under the far end then the 2 on top of that...if you angle cut the ends it makes things even nicer...i originaly made a pair for "low clearance" cars to clear my scissor lift, but have found for the yaris that the 4.5ish inches you get is more than enough to change the oil and do other small things under the front of the car
ill get pics of my even smaller "jack" versions if need be...similar setup to what the ground draggers use for driveways |
