Seats help
I have a 4 door Yaris sedan (2007) and the front seat is killing my back. I am thinking about replacing it with one with better lumbar support. Anyone have any ideas where I can get a decent seat?
I have thought about getting a Toyota seat from a car parts yard, or maybe buying a new Recaro driver's seat if they make it for the Yaris. Right now, I have a pillow I slide behind the lower back and it helps a bit. I don't mind paying the dealer or some shop to install the seat if its a problem to do it yourself. |

Yaris aftermarket seats
Thanks guys. I heard Corbeau makes a decent seat. If not, I'll check with Recaro to see if they make something. Sonds like they might have a better seat in Canada on the Yaris.

As for brands that specialize in making comfortable commuting/touring chairs, the only real one that comes to mind is Recaro. Next time you're flying in business class, check out who made the seats ;) No matter what you do it's just not going to match the cosmetics of the car though - whether that bothers you or not is all personal preference I suppose. |

Yeah, those Recaro are great. I care nothing about the color or whether it matches anything on the car. I just need comfort, and it is cheaper than selling the car and getting another car with a more supportive seat.
A neighbor said there is a recently wrecked Lexus in the car junk yard (Crazy Ray's) and it might be worth a try for the driver's seat. I go to look at the Recaro< Sparco, and Corbeau seats Wednesday, so one of them will be installed or at least ordered. Thanks again for the info. |
