Spacers

So i was installing my rims on my car and i got the back two on but when i got to the front two it turns out that the caliper is like RIGHT on the rim. Like the car won't even move w/out scraping them (i put it in neutral and tried to push)

anyways, i'm thinking of buying some spacers that'll offset it like a quarter inch just so its not right on it's ass. does anyone know like what i should specifically ask for when i goto the auto part store?

also, would it be weird looking if there were spacers in the front? its not going to make the two front tires stick out too noticeably is it? ionno i just wanna be sure cause i'm going out to buy two of them tm.

oh yea, fell in love with the car when i first stumbled onto YW and saw yours actually black yaris (<- lol not saying that i was copying you, lets just say when i was searching around it was a tossup between a fit, civic, or the yaris, and when i saw yours it pretty much tipped the scale. love the style of the yaris >:D)

then fell in love with the color when it caught my eye at the dealership. Soooo slick :D

Looks good, but I would like to know how you resolved the fitment problem.

And, as others have asked... what is the offset?

naw doesn't poke out too much, its not really even quite noticable, but i'm sure if you knelt down you could see the difference. Anyways, i'm not too tire savy to know what the offset is (i'm a big noob at these things)

as for the solution, i just bought some 1/4" wheel spacers.

as for the rims and tires, they were all free. Nothing too fancy, just a couple of old speedlines.

I'm satisfied :] all though all my xb buddies say it makes the car look too bubbly, and "cutesy" then again, they're still not over the fact i didn't get an xb lol.

kinda off topic but the next thing i was thinking about was getting a drop or the window tint, i was kinda leaning towards the drop but then do i have to get camber kits? i had too in my old civic but i'm not quite sure whats going on in the suspension department regarding the yaris. I'm quite new to this car. Oh and also do i have to get that installed at the dealer to avoid voiding warrenty?

no a cam kit is not required..... the dealer is not going to install aftermarket lowering coils... Read up on the magnusson-moss act, the dealer can not deny warrany just because you have aftermarket parts, they have to prove it was the aftermarket part that caused the damage to the specific area in question for them to deny warranty on that item only, not the warranty on the whole car

for instance, they can not deny an transmission warranty claim because you lowered you car.

As I was told, correct me if I'm wrong, if you drop the car more than 2" then you need to adjust camber
