highly suggest smaller wheels, width is good though ;) are your goals autox or street, or both?

the less rotating mass, the better off... I am going to be those wheels are really heavy and probably slowing you down, not to mention adding more wear and tear on the brakes and steering. My track wheels are 205/50/15 and I rarely have traction issues, I did run 225/50 (I think?) and with the mild TRD springs I scrubbed everywhere

and honestly the best thing you can do to better your cornering, is to better yourself. Enroll in a drivers training course/SCCA class, participate in autox events often, go to open track days, ride with more experienced drivers, study apexing/ideal cornering strategies and mostly just have fun and drive the heck out of the car, its a blast!
