That is officially TRUE! The fit is no.

in my personal opinion...

I like the new Fit, quite a lot actually. If I were in the market for a new small car right now I'd probably have gotten one over the Yaris.

BUT!

Not if I was in the US... The way Honda had to extend the bumpers to suit crash safety regulations just makes it look disproportionate, compared to the original JDM version. And secondly, it is pretty darn expensive... Over here for comparable trim levels it's actually a little cheaper than the Yaris, and with quite a few extra options too...

And I'm starting to see some reaaaaallly nicely modded ones over here...

yeah i agree with some of you guys, too lazy to quote them all though lol

i WOULD get a fit, but i dont wanna deal with payments
and the only reason i was leaning towards it, because a coworker of mine could help me with a good discount (he got his for about $13-14k, and its the sports package with everything!!)

the nsx is a dreamy thing to even think about, but is a good possibility. given that there's a good condition, decent priced (20-25k) one out there haha. this car, i would mind putting payments to (IF its around that price :-p)

i hear the fit is quick off the line ..but you'll be pedal to the metal to keep up with HWY traffic.

the fit is neat .. but pricey compared to the yaris.. and IMHO the fit is ugly compared to the yaris

The price is close... Todays paper had 09' Fits listed for $16,900. 09' 4 door LB's at my dealer are $16,5XX and $17,6XX.

Of course that's not the Fit S, but for $18K you can get one, and after sitting in one, it's way nicer than the Yaris...

Yaris over Fit

There is more rearseat leg room in the Yaris. There is no storage in the back of a Fit if you plan on carrying passengers. The trunk in the Yaris Sedan is HUGE for me. I have 2 kids and love being able to put 2 suitcases, a Big cooler, and pillows in the trunk. leaves space in the cabin for my kids and their movies and a small travel cooler.
