N2O adds oxygen to combustion

N2O is an oxidizer. At higher temperatures it breaks down and gives up it's oxygen atoms. By providing more oxygen, more fuel can be burned, providing more energy or power. I can see how N2O can add to the flames at the exhaust, but it would have to be added after the engine. |

Flame thrower
To create a flame thrower, you need an excessively rich fuel mixture and an ignition source at the end of the exhaust.

I have heard even if you get the kit to work it wrecks your valves because of the sudden backpressure.
