Has anyone replaced their speakers?
My wife thinks the speakers in my Yaris suck. I listen mostly to talk radio...and while the sound is not great, it isn't something I mind. My question to the the collective is, has anyone taken out the OEM speakers and put in something else? If so, what was the brand, did you do it yourself, and what was the cost?
Thanks!

Yes, I replaced just the front two with Infinities...can't tell you the number..but they weren't that bad. I think I paid about 125 for them. It's a big difference just doing those two.

I replaced my speakers right after I bought my YARIS. The stock speakers are total CRAP. Flimsy paper cone, no tweeter, and tiny motor/magnet.
I didn't want to spend alot of money, or install an amp, so I needed some decent speakers that would work with the factory head unit. ( low power ) I went with four new Pioneer TS-G1642R. They were on-sale at BestBuy for $38 a pair. Took me about 4 hours to install them. I used a hacksaw blade and cutout the centers of the factory speakers. The rears fit good, but I had to use a Dremel tool and grind away some of the outer edge on the front ones. I also used the Dremel tool to clearance the panels a little bit before reinstalling them. They sound much better than stock, cleaner sound with crisp highs.
