You'll get very minor rubbing lock-to-lock, which is pretty common on many set-ups with the Yaris. The good news is that we rarely lock-to-lock, and when we do, it's only briefly and at almost stop speeds. With 205/55's on stock suspension and wheels, there are no rubbing issues to worry about.

the middle of the fender lip and the center of the front and rear splash guards. but i guess that depends on the wheels offset of they are aftermarket too, so stock would be different. like i said though, i have aftermarket 15s which are wider, not factory steel wheels.

SO, your saying it rubs on the REAR mudguard as well?

The rubbing is on the plastic fender liner and it is extremely minimal. It occurs only sometimes in a lock-to-lock maneuver and is nothing for concern.

Actually, 205/50'a are not "mid point" but are shorter than both the tyres we're discussing. 205/50's work well on DF's, for example, but no need to run that short with stock suspension or a mild drop.
