Because they're standard spec bulbs with one of those blue filters on them, those colored glass filters will actually cut output, because they're not allowing part of the visible light that the bulb generates to pass through the capsule. If you want a "blue bulb" you can buy some off brand for 10-20 dollars cheaper, you don't need to shell out top dollar for the PIAA's which only have marginally better build quality. I remember when PIAA actually used to be a great name in lighting because their products were quality, but now that's all they're selling on is their name.

I haven't seen any standard or off brand bulb that is as bright as PIAAs Extreme White Plus or Super Plasma GT-Xs though.

I'd prefer the Super Plasma GT-X not have the purple topcoat but they are far brighter than anything I've seen (sans HID).

Just got my PIAA Plasma GT-X Bulbs today and really love them, i had to say they look like the bulbs that are closest to the H.I.D. that i have seen, it cost me $75, but it is worth the money , because it has a really clear white light, and a lil of purple in it, no more yellew in the light, this is what i have wanted, i have try many other brands like silver star , that was peice of sh*t i have to say because the light of it is not even white, it's still yellow, and cost me $35, if any one is looking for closest H.I.D. light bulbs, i srtongly recommand the PIAA Plasma GT-X, trust me, i have try so many other brand, and none of them even look white. theres my pics enjoy.

Purplish look is the LOWEST output in H.I.D. People, I must inform you to just stick with 4300 K. The majority are misinformed about the color of HID so please take a safety precaution for your self as well as other drivers to just stick with 4300 K and not pick dandy over the rainbow colors.

I missed this post before. Mine look exactly that color and the photos posted just above.

Thanks

If not its a 5-10 minute swap. Just wear latex gloves to be sure you get nothing on the bulbs.

Im sorry, but no halogen bulb will look or perform like an HID system.

Those pics above do look fantastic though!

Prolly the parking lights. It would look weird to upgrade the headlamp and not those. You'd want the parking lamp to nearly match the color of the headlamp.
