The funny thing, last night I was looking though photos and injury/death stats... and I didn't see anything... when I saw your 2nd pic, I saw something that I recognized... a specific emotion that yesterday, just never existed to me... but today, I understand... I hope that makes sense!

Maybe it was just me but when i jumped I was oddly...underwhelmed and disappointed. I guess my expectations were too high but I didnt get that feeling of having your stomach in your throat and what not. Kind of anti climactic. Oddly enough i was my first time in a plane, so technically i've taken off in a plane but never landed. I had a guy shoot photos and video of my jump as well, they did the whole editing and soundtrack about 30 mins after we got back to the hangar. Neat experience but never did I feel as though my life were in danger. I guess I wanted to be scared but it didnt happen. To each their own I guess. Congratz on a successful jump :)

Definitely in my to-do list!
Closest I've been is handgliding, that was fun, soaring through the skies with nothing but the sound of the wind rushing past..

I went skydiving this past Sunday. I changed to 15000ft because 10000ft isn't done on weekends.
Thanks for the encouraging words Nutz, really it was safe like you said, even for my friend who's first parachute was tangled and the backup deployed for her *she got kinda scared*~ It was fun Malaya :) ![]()

Thanks Malaya.
You can do it on the weekend, once in a while enobmort42...no? I think the highest you can do in California is 18000ft, w/ a 90 second freefall~ |
