baby/child seats? - Toyota Yaris Forums

what child seats do those w/ kids run in their yaris?

my wife and i are looking at a multi-stage car seat for the yaris (and aveo) and just thought we'd check to see what, if anything, people on yarisworld are running and how they like it (we're both concerned about the amount of space it'll take up rendering the front passenger seat useless...

My kids are 6 and 10. Shortly after we got our Yaris my six year old transitioned from a full car seat to a booster. She can buckle the seat belt herself, but we figured out that she needed to be on the passenger side, because on the driver side the seat belt buckle ends up under the booster seat. I was impressed that with the regular car seat, as well as with the booster we can comfortably fit another child in the middle.

You shouldn't have a baby seat in the front. We used a baby carrier that latched into a base that stayed in the car. It wasn't really that much of a pain at all. Now my daughter is 6 and Washinton state law says kids have to be in a booster seat until they are 9 or 80lbs.

I was looking at booster seats today for my son. I do like the recaro ones.
