Privacy Shades

I always said I didn't want tinted windows anymore because I couldn't see anything through them in the dark. And safety goes first

So now I have an alternative: Privacy Shades!
They have the same measurements as the windows and can be removed and replaced anytime. This way I can remove them in the dark winter months.

Nice. They look like custom fit. Never seen anything like that around here. Who makes them?

If you google for "privacy shades", you will find them. The 3-door version is already available for a while. I found the ones for the 5-door about 2 months ago.

I ordered them at a local shop, and they get them from a dutch company (autostyle.nl) which imports them from I-don't-know-where.

Here's an english site: http://www.uvcarshades.co.uk
They have them for almost every car.

Checked out that site. Those things are pretty awesome. I wonder if they have any distributors in the US yet?

Very nice!

I still prefer the tint, since here in California, we don't quite know the concept of "dark winter months"

Oh man I did that to my old mini-truck years ago! I absolutely loved it. Benefits of a dark tint, but still able to see through it 100%. You used to just be able to buy a roll of it and, with some time, cut it to fit yourself. Haven't been able to find that stuff for years. I will def be doing this to mine ASAP!

Yeah, I'll look around and get back to you if I can find it in a roll.

Another plus about having that in the window is if the window breaks, no broken glass all over the place. Long story short, I had a BBQ fall thru my back window with that stuff on it, and no one was hurt and there was no mess!

It's also available for a 3-door, even long before they came with the 5-door model.
