Better to have onboard black boxs like airlines have. Whatever you do is recorded on video and audio and is admissable in court and accessable by the investigating officer in the event of an incident.

That sucks, keep us updated on what happens to this person. I'm a shitty female driver and have been in an accident that was my fault, and was freaked enough to cry, of course I stayed and took responsibility though...
the story posted about the 17 year old hit and run girl getting caught and crying and still getting arrested makes me feel good haha. You deserve what you get, especially if you hit and run, glad you or cop didn't feel sorry for her. You're s shitty person if you drive away even if youre scared. |

That's all true already of the data stored by the ECU. I believe it includes the last 20 seconds or so of things like your speed, gear, engine RPM and load, braking and steering input.
