Tires?

Trying to decide what tire size to go with, 205/45/16 or 205/50/16? Anybody got any suggestions or advice?

Are you lowered, and what are the specs on your wheels?

205 50 16 is closer to stock height.

With that set-up, I'd run 195/50/16's.

it's an odd size though. tire rack only shows 11 tires in that size, 42 in 205 50 16.. if you're not picky about WHAT tire you have, go with the skinnier tire i guess..

Sorry to hack this thread but I need help about tire size. Is the BFGoodrich Traction T/A Tires 205/55/15 will fit on our stock 185/60/15 tires 15 inch steelies?

I had DF210's with +38mm offset wheels and ran 205/50/16 with no problems. I will say that I had TRD shocks/struts at the time -- stiffer shocks do help prevent rubbing in dips, drops, driveways and bumps.

I'd go with the 195s to prevent rubbing, too. If you want to go 205, I'd go with the 45-series tires. It also depends on what you're looking for in a tire.

It's a bit of a squeeze, but they will fit safely on the stock steel wheels.

Already found the tire I want, but they came in a few different sizes for 16's, so was just seeing what suggestions you guys had. 205/45/16 was the size I had in mind even before posting the thread. Anyways, thanks!

+1. I'm running 205/50's on my stock alloys with no problems

I ran 205/45-16 Toyos on my last Yaris (16x7, +42) with no problems. Loved 'em.
