Oil pressure is a funny one - The Yaris simply has a pressure switch that is on if there is oil pressure or off if you don't.

since this is OBD2 driven, will it work on any other "like coded" OBD2 system? (my MR2) if so i DO WANT ONE

It's OBDII, but OBDII CAN, so it will only work for vehicles that use CAN bus (which is all vehicles 2008+ and many 2005+). Your MR2 is ISO-9141 based, which is one of the older hardware standards for OBDII. So, the YarGauge won't support your MR2.

So, by that it would work in an 09 Tacoma, I assume? Are there any Yaris specific codes in there or do you think the readings would work well out as long as he tapped the same wires?
One of the EE's in my office is looking to do this for his Taco' after I started telling him about yours... If yours is done already, I'll push him toward remote vent mount... I'm an ME, so this is all sparky stuff to me

It definitely should work on the 09 Tacoma. So far, all of the CAN messages I am using are either OBDII compliant or are Toyota enhanced messages (air to fuel ratio and fuel level for example).

Awesome thanks for the info Scott. God's speed on finishing it all up. If we were normal executives we would probably hate feature creeping however we are but humble customers and I for one am grateful for each gadget that gets added on.

I did design the hardware interface to be modular, and I have done HW/SW for the older OBDII standard, so once the CAN version is released, I may very well make a ISO9141 version or a combo version. A couple friends of mine really want the functionality of this for their Mazda, Subaru and Honda cars (most of which predate CAN).
