Rip Off Canada....

So, I just bought a few things from a Toyota dealer in the US because of the following price differences.....Why are we getting screwed up north????

Spark Plug set of 4 - - - - Canada $90, US $32
Cabin filter - - - - Canada $40, US $18
Heater Knob - - - - Canada $95, US $44

The Heater Knob is the third dial for the cabin temperature. (my fault as I smashed it up in a rage trying to get it to work....now its 18C outside and mines stuck on full hot!!!).

We get stung up here on everything it seems, and while Id do anything to buy from Canadian companies, I aint prepared to get bent over for it. All I need now is to get them shipped USPS so UPS dont screw me too for the theft of brokerage fees!!!

Yaris oil filter at Burlington Toyota = ~CA$8.00
Case of 10 from Conicelli Toyota (in PA): US$30.00 + $23.00 USPS to my home = ~US$5.30 each (~CA$5.67 each).
They also mailed my TRD exhaust, springs, dampers and anti-sway bar to my home.
I saved in the neighbourhood of $200.00 on these four items when compared to the prices at Erin Mills Toyota in Mississauga, my closest TRD authorized Toyota stealership. And I would have had to go out of my way and make two trips to the stealership to order and then later pick-up.
With the exception of the K&N filter all of my other aftermarket parts were purchased on eBay and mailed into Canada from around the world. The K&N filter was cheaper on sale at PartSource then to import.

I paid $18, trdsparks on sale for $16 but I got other stuff so the combined shipping from a dealer in CA was cheaper than trdsparks.

For cabin air filter I just make my own out of universal air filter for furnace filters. I just use scissors and cut what I need. And it only cost about $6 from Home Depot.

I live in Toronto, and I may need to purchase a new furnace filter to make several different filters for my car, I am not familiar with the prices but, If Canada is a rip off, I might have to order it online from the states, does anyone know a good place I can order from, for a reasonable price? If anyone help that would be great. Cheers!
