I thought it was well thought out, but I am not an english major by any means. That, and science and geography. And History. And anything besides math, electronics, automotive, and common sense.

That's specious reasoning. If the majority of people in America bought Yari, then by that fact, the majority of gays would buy them. Perhaps the ratio of gays to straights might be skewed towards gay ownership, but that is most likely because Yaris owners are comfortable with their sexual orientation, whatever it may be. Gays by the definition of the gaywheels.com's survey are comfortable in their orientation. Personally, I don't need a giant pickup truck/SUV or a loud ass V8 engine to prove my manhood. I would love to have a bunch of bumper stickers printed up that say "Sorry about your penis size, man." and stick them on various large vehicles.

I heard that the Yaris is a popular car on some online search engines that cater to gays. Not sure about who buys one. I live up the street from a gay couple. One drives a Matrix, the other a big Pickup.

I've worked with quite a few gay ladies. They seem to like pickup trucks, bikes and larger vehicles.

About the only car I've heard which is "gay" friendly is the Subaru Outback, perhaps because of its spokesperson, Martina Navratilova.

2006 Mini Cooper

The Mini Cooper is annoyingly small to some, but simply irresistible to others. The cult classic from the BMW group means fun for anyone who sits behind the wheel (and passengers too).
Only person who drives one of these at work is around thirty, goth pale, dark hair, blue eyes... and is a mother of two. She has an awful drinking habit and a "rep". Maybe she could be a "twink", dunno.

Could be worse. You could have bought a Chevy Avalanche. They call it a chick truck for a good reason. Most are sold to Women buyers in the Bay Area in Cali.

Boy did GM waste the Ad dollars on that one. Miss-targeted the demographic completely

Guess what, guys? We're all just people. I happen to be Gay. But I've been very happily single, and involved with other interests and causes for a very long time. (Not the least of which are my advocacy of Open Source software, and love of travel.) No "boyfriends" or other distractions, these days. Just me... studying the things I want to study, and doing the things I want to do. Hormones are both a blessing and a burden. "Just take care of the burden and get on with life" is my current motto.

I really don't see any particular attraction the Yaris might hold for us Gay folks, in general. I certainly like the car. But that's because impressive efficiency, combined with (relative) simplicity, holds a special fascination for me. And believe me, that's not a "Gay" trait. I'm happy to find *anyone* who shares my admiration of that combination. And when I do, I don't particularly care who they're interested in sexually... if anyone.

Well said. The reason I bought my Yaris was for the overall "green-ness" of the car. I dont think a car can be or look gay, but if people want to classify the yaris as a car gays want, then oh well. We will probably have our cars way longer. :)

The Yaris is gay? Oh, OK. That explains its superior sense of style over its competitors.

Reminds me of the time I was traveling through Catoosa Oklahoma with my friend Dennis. Like me, he was a dog lover... but even worse. He spied what he thought was a Chinese Sharpei dog:

sitting in the passenger seat of the truck driven by the guy ahead of us on the highway. So, of course, we had to accelerate to get a better look. Turned out it wasn't a dog at all. It was the guy's wife. A little on the overweight side...
