Bought Some Weathertech Products for Liftback

Bought some Weathertech products - in-channel side window deflectors ($55) and cargo liner ($55) when our local Toyota dealer had a sale. Don't know yet, but seems like a good product. The window deflectors fit well, but was a little tight when I closed the window all the way. I have manual crank windows so it was OK. However, not sure I'd recommend the in-channel deflectors to cars with automatic-windows as it may interfere with smooth window open/close operation. Just FYI.

The deflectors look good but sucks to hear that they are tight when closing .

I have power windows and the same the deflectors in mine. No issues with a too tight fit.

I couldn't stand the grit grinding that occured when I rolled the window up and down so I bought some this velcro tape and ran some of the 'soft side' of the velcro alonge the inner edge of the deflectors. Now when the windows move it's smooth and silent.

I've had my in-channel visors in my power windows for 3 years now. No issues at all. I do not have the type you posted with that front lip, however I like the look. The weathertech digital front mats are the stuff. Gives my interior a whole new appearance.

Good to know! Thanks. I guess there isn't a problem with those in-channel deflectors.

I would also suggest checking out AVS's Ventvisors. Not sure they make an in-channel application for the Yaris, but I know they make tape-on versions. I have them on my Suzuki and love them.

Ugh...

I've been on the fence about getting the Weathertech window visors for a while now. Love how they look on your car, Terence, as well as Yarisugi's, but people in my ear keep saying my car would look better with out them. Don't want to drop the $60 only to be unhappy with them, but you never know until you try.

Argh...

Depends on how many doors you have, what color your car is and if your windows are tinted. On my silver two door hatch with blacked our windows in the rear, and merely tinted windows in the doors, they look awesome, as if they should have been there from the factory.

I have dark tint, black paint and black wheels. My thought was to get the darker of the two visor options and I think it would look good/factory. Undecided given some of the opinions I've gotten.

i suggest you go get them. but get the in-channels like yarisugi's bec 1) they are rarer and 2) you can take them off if anytime.

IMO, these look good (really nice yarisugi!), and would feel at home on a black car with black tint such as yours. :) (take this POV with a grain of salt, as i myself wish i can get an in-channel for my sedan)

Yep, go get them. Now you can crack a window even in the rain, or when you're parking in the sun. They also improve on the wind noise at higher speeds.

I'm prob going to try them. If I don't like them once I see them on my car, worst case I sell them for a small loss.
