AMR Springs on the way

jpadua over at voisunderground.com is friends with Andy at AMR Engineering and had a project to create springs for the Vios/Yaris sedan. Jay received his sets to sell and got me in touch with Andy so that I could get a set here stateside. Andy just got my springs from Jay in the mail yesterday and I should have them at my door by next weekend. Andy designed these springs to work hand in hand with the stock shocks. If enough interest can be generated here stateside then Andy will have some more built otherwise you would need to go thru Jay on VUG (viosunderground.com) and he would need to ship them from the Philippines.

Provides a tasteful drop of 1.75"

1 Set Springs
1 Set Rubber Silencers
1 AMR Quarterpanel Sticker

The springs are 10k

Here is the link to his order page:

hey dude,

Just correcting your post bro...

The springs are not 10k spring rate.

On our site, it was posted as 10k Price (pesos) meaning P10,000

Not spring rate. :)

Progressive...3kg/in front and 4kg/in rear. I fully understand that Garm released his springs and they may have similar rates however I had already been in the process of purchasing/receiving the AMR springs. Plus, I am the only one in the States to have them so I guess I will be a pilot.

Springs arrived today from AMR however my son is home sick...he is vomiting and not my normal 170mph child so the install may have to wait a couple days. I will def have my own pics of before and after. There are some pics posted up on VUG as well with a side by side comparison with the Tiens.

Alright, well tonight was the night! Took us about 2.5 hours to do it and I broke 2 cowl clips in the process however I am dropped! I will be posting up some side by side comparisons, but for now I was able to take a few pics tonight. If you can't tell right away there is something wrong with you It is raining so of course the car is dirty as well. The ride quality is HUGELY different. It is so much better it is nuts. I even drove part of the way home on a couple pothole streets and was amazed that they felt like butter instead of rock candy (best analogy). I will be taking it in for an alignment tomorrow.

If they are fresh springs, why would you give it alignment tomorrow? Give the springs atleast 2-3 weeks if possible so they fully seat and settle in. I just don't want you to waste money on an alignment that your going to have to redo again.

You're lucky the double shot of BBQ sauce didn't blow the seam on your nugget box. There she is, 2 pounds of pure beef. My dad ate it in 9.0 seconds flat. Check it out, it's like this. If I lose, winner takes my happy meal. But if I win, I take the burger and the toy. To some people, that's more important.

yeah, I am going to wait a couple weeks...Kaotic and Garm both suggested that as well. I get my alignments for free anyway, but I will still wait.

nice shot, good stance. And a perfect spot for some tray sliding.

this is right next door to my house. I have raised so much of a stink about noise with them that they don't really care for me too much so the tray sliding would need to take place at another venue .... hehehe
