Tire size help
I just bought Mini Cooper 16x6.5 ET48 rims and need some input on tire size. I am thinking 195/55/16 but I noticed many people on the wheel/tire sticky are running 205's which I have found to be slightly cheaper. I am stock height with no plans to lower and don't want any rubbing in any situation, and advise?

205/45/16 or 205/50/16 will both work fine, and you will not experience rubbing with either size. You are finding them to be cheaper as a 195/55/16 is an odd size.
Let me know if you'd like me to quote any for you - I am usually a fair bit lower cost than DiscountTire or TireRack. Thanks, Ryan |

I prefer the 45-series in a 205-16, simply because in my favorite tire, they are "ZR" rated, not just "R". Toyo Proxes 4.
Just my 2-cents (and that about all it's worth!) |

With those wheels and stock suspension, go with 205/50/16 for best fit!

Thanks for the quote! Your prices were the best around! I found a rim/tire kit on CL and sold rims I was going to use
... Will post pics when my lugs arrive on Monday!

Nice! I swear that most of the mini cooper rims look better on the Yaris than on the mini.
