Thumbs up K-Mart : Pennzoil Platinum : 5 quarts for $20 plus SHELL gift card of

$10 by mail . No SHELL stations here , but $4 a quart is still a good deal . Could also bring ad from K-Mart to Walmart to match price . Especially if 0w-20 quarts are a want ( hard to find ) . The K-Mart must be within a 30 mile radius to get matched at Wally World . Sale ends 9/1 .

A really good deal. The selection was sparse at my local K-Mart. I had to get 3 quarts of 5w30 and two quarts of 10w30. Price matching at Wal-Mart might be a good idea. The trip reminded me of why I rarely shop at K-Mart.

Went to a K-Mart and had very little in stock . We plan on bringing ad to Wal-Mart and get it there . It's probably best to bring the whole flyer or have them look it up at K-Mart ( if available at their customer service desk ) . Should be able to apply for the SHELL gift card if purchase made at Wal-Mart .

There are no Kmarts in Canada .. not that I really mind as they were not the best retailer as far as I am concerned. But a good deal is always a good thing if you can take advantage of it.

I always go shopping at Walmart as they seem to have the best deals. But I don't do my own oil changes (I leave that to the dealer) and as far as I can tell my Yaris is not going thru any oil so I haven't had to add any. In fact in about a month I will be taking my Yaris to get an oil change.

What type of oil would you recommend that the dealer put in ?

(I think that they usually use 5W30 unless I have a better idea, but if I am wrong . someone please let me know).

There's Shell full synthetic 5w-30 in the sedan with an AC/Delco oil filter . Do oil changes in the driveway ( weather permitting ) . The Toyota genuine motor oil is formulated for Toyota and supplied by Mobil . That is a good thing .

I've found that Pennzoil sucks ass, Quaker State bites the big one, Castrol gets its knickers in a twist, Valvoline takes the cake and Amsoil "had a cow, dude." Mobil, in comparison, just gets its panties in a wad...

....and another oil thread bites the dust.

Been using Pennzoil for over 20 years and never an issue . Shell for over 5 years . Have good results with U.O.A.s of both for our vehicles and others at B.I.T.O.G..
