Brembo's for 800 Baht ($27.00)

While I was in Thailand I also noticed that at least 50% of the cars & trucks had Brembo's on them. Scratched my head and came to realize that these MUST be so affordable that such a majority had them. My wifes nephew had a set of theses Brembo's on his new Honda City. He took me to a wheel & tire shop in Bangkok, which there are hundreds of these shops. In the showroon there was a large glass display case with every size caliper for small to large rotors and every color available, Blue, Black, Green, Yellow, Red. I asked the girl to open the display case and she handed me one. Much to my suprise, they were all plastic covers that are siliconed to the original stock caliper. What a brilliant idea! These are fully detailed with even the a chrome bleeder, a chrome transfer tube that would go to the other side of the caliper and chrome allen bolts that would attach each side of a caliper. Painted RED with the BREMBO logo on it. I wonder if Brembo knows of this going on???
Yes I did buy a set and will as corny as it is, put them on with a laugh.
I'll post some pics off and on the car.

No, don't live under a rock

My Yaris is just a commuter car for me. I've been a avid car guy all my life.
Been on the cover of Hot Rod Magazine, I'm a AeroSpace Lab Technician and restore DeTomaso Pantera's and Pro Touring Camaro Z-28's. All of which we install Brembo, Wilwood and Bear break systems.Yes, I have been all over the world
and this was the 1st time to see these. Now that you have made your point.
Please excuse me for giving you any impression that I live a secluded lifestyle or am completely unaware of cheesy cheap crap. OH!! From all over the world.

Always someone has to bash, WTF?? It's the one thing that this site has no control over. Peoples poor choices when replying to a thread.

Wow flashback!!
I miss my 74 Pantera!! Cost me $5,000 for that unsafe piece of crap in 1979.
They're now worth over $100K restored!!..............After $80K of restoration, though!!

This doesn't surprise me though that you saw what you did. The very sad part is that a lot of the folks that customize, etc will even have the stones to put in their build list "Brembo brakes".

seems like it is very rare that you have anything of any value to say which is tragic because there are too many of you around.
