Thank you! Though with requiring to wire up my steering column, that may be my roadblock. Will look into this. (I am colorblind, and at the mercy of my father doing these for me.)

If it is relatively easy, I'll totally buy an entire kit from ya. Also, hoping for keyless entry soon too!

Hi everyone, I am new here, and from australia.

I have a Yaris YR 5 door (base model, 1.3 manual)

I have "acquired" a OEM cruise control stalk and cable, I can fit it into the steering wheel no worries, the cruise light comes on, though can not set the speed. Would this be because of the clutch switch?. I have tried Toyota, and they werent really much help. Though they did come back with a $90 part. I do have to push the clutch in to start the vehicle to begin with though, so i would assume it would already have one?.

Could someone please shed some light for me?

There are two clutch switches on a manual transmission Yaris. The pre-installed on is the push the clutch to the floor to start the car one. The one you have to add for cruise control works the opposite way. It replaces the stopper bolt that the clutch arm rests against (when your foot is not on it) and it signals the ECM when you barely touch the clutch pedal (to prevent the revving that would occur if the clutch was pressed when cruise was applying throttle).

Hello everyone. I bought the pieces of picture 1, I installed according to picture 2 3.4, but the result was negative, to me does not work. I 1ND-TV engine, 1.4 D4D 66kW respectively. Can someone help me? You need to do something else than I did? Have to change terminals 1 and 2 of the 4-pin connector in the 10 pin?

You have everything installed in the proper place, but according to the wiring diagrams the 1ND-TV Yaris does not support cruise control.

Check the connector on the other end of the spiral cable, which is located under the cover for the lower part of the steering column. The question is if the two wires are present there that would connect to the cruise control stalk wires under the airbag.

I understand the need to loosen the screw from the one in picture 1 and picture 2, but do not know exactly what wires need to see, you have a picture of what should I see there?

Is it worth trying to move to Terminal 1 and 2 of the 4-pin connector at position 1 and 2 of the 10-pin connector? or is in vain? still will not go anything? The blue wire is the ground wire and do not know where to put it if put in place the terminal 1 of the 4-pin plug.

No. Where you have the connector is correct for ones that are cruise control equipped.

I am looking for the connector on the left in the photo below. You will remove the two screws behind the steering wheel and the one by the tilt lever to remove the lower cover.

You do not have the wiring diagram for 1.4 d4d? Although I know that the same engine Auris 1.4 D4D has cruise control, I hope someone will hear us and we may find a solution in the future, I just have to have patience.

It is connector 1 that we need to look at. I do have the D4D wiring diagrams, where the "engine control" one does not show cruise control, whereby the wiring diagrams for the 1.33L gas engine does. I don't have the wiring diagrams for the Auris, but I do see in the parts catalog that it uses a different ECM.

I am new to this forum. My daughter in Indiana just purchased a 2012 Yaris Sedan without cruise control. I noticed from the pictures she sent, that the cluster is mounted in the center of the dash vs behing the steering wheel as I am seeing in the pictures in this thread. I am guessing that Toyota did a mid-year refresh of the vehicle in 2012 and that she has the older version.

I have two questions...

1) Can I add OEM cruise to her car using your instructions?
2) If so, which directions do I use. The ones for 2009-2011 or the ones for 2012?

I have added OEM cruise to another daughters 2010 Cobalt. This looks much easier than that.
