I don't see how the Yaris has lost its quirkiness, quirky is the word used to describe my Yaris by a few people.

I think it hold it's heritage well, you can still grasp the egg look but with a baby eagle hatching with it's head out... ha!! I didn't know how else to put it, I stare at Toyotas all day and it seems to me Toyota looks at birds than makes their front ends. Yaris just finally fell in line. The new Yaris definitely has a more fitting tuner look to it once you have all the goods on it.

I do miss the center cluster, though ergonomically I prefer the current cluster. Other subcompacts have digital clusters, I'm a big fan of the Sonic cluster, it makes our cars seem dated in comparison.

I like how the dash flows in the new models as well, the old models have a bland utility look with all the compartments and cup holders.

I agree with what you wrote, EXCEPT for this . The compartments and cup holders are two of the things I like most about my car

Agreed - I like the inside dash too - it is so uncluttered and adds to the feeling of space and room. I dont like the cup holders in the dash - never have liked that in cars - I prefer them in the centre consoles. One thing that might have been nice is a compartment with a lid on it - so that things can be tucked away. Overall I think this car is neat and clean looking inside and I love the plastic interior on the doors too as opposed to fabric, just one quick wipe over and all is gleaming. I really think Toyota have made this car a classy little car.
