New Subs and no lost space.

Well I told myself I would not mess with my Yaris, as far as adding more than a basic system. I guess it's still a basic system, but I added an amp and two baby subs. Sound fantastic!

Using EarthQuake SWS 6.5" subs, in the rear stock location. I made 1.5 qt enclosures, as the rear speaker mount are just a piece of sheet metal with no enclosure.

The bowls came from the dollar store.

very clever! One of the more interesting choices for using the stock speaker locations I must say. I plan on using mine if I can for the rear struts on my car assembly.

Nice. And a great idea!

Do you know the depth of that bowl?

I did not measure it, but I'm thinking about 3 inchs.

I was going to go with 8" woofers, but I'd need to cut out the sheet metal and pop rivet in a flat piece.

When I noticed the 6.5 cost $120. for a pair, and the 8" where $120. each, I just went the cheap route.

And the 8" may have taken all weekend, as the are more critical of enclosure.

EarthQuake told me the 6.5 need so little(.03 qt), they even sound good running free air.

I wanted them to punch hard and tight, so I made the SS bowl enclosures.

They may have work good in the stock mounts.
