yaris was flooded this morning....wouldn't start
yesterday I got in my car just to move it about 20 feet. this morning I went to start it and it wouldn't start. it cranked over, just wouldn't fire. this happened a few years ago with my Nissan truck, so I remembered what to do. press and hold the gas pedal down while trying to start it. I think this kills the gas and it sputtered and sputtered, but finally started up.

I don't think you can flood a modern car. Perhaps the condensation froze the gas line as you just start it and shut it off right away.
happened to my Civic a few years back.. took it out of the garage and park it on the drive way.. It wouldn't start until temps got warmer. |

if you start it up and only move it a few feet then shut it off fast, the extra fuel from startup stays in there and can flood it at next startup...at least that's what I think happened.
