Low fuel warning light not working?

Hi all,

When does the low fuel warning light comes on?

The range on the onboard computer shows 31km left, but there is still no warning light.

Does the low fuel warning light comes on when you turn the key to "accessory"? Like, the phase where you test whether all lights work.

Thanks!

It should come on relatively soon, I believe it comes on when the remaining miles is around 15. Also, im pretty sure the low fuel light doesn't come on when you start the car.

I've not got as far as the low fuel warning light yet but I have found the computer estimate of range remaining is very pessimistic. Which I suppose is better than the alternative!
Recently I went to the lowest fuel since buying the car, the miles remaining showed 33. However, the tank had capacity for 31 litre, so 11 litre still remaining. Therefore sufficient fuel left for around 90 miles to empty. The fuel gauge appeared more accurate, still indicating a 1/4 tank remaining.

In my experimenting with the gauges accuracy, when the gauge hits E you still have almost 2 gallons left it seems. Mine does go far below the empty mark, too. I always reset trip meter A and go by it instead. If the gauge didnt use a float it would be more accurate, but I dont know of any other methods lol.
