come on lah, don't talk cock like that one ah... you never been to malaysia or singapore meh? walau wei! This ang mo damn funny wan...

"Lah" is just a common malaysian/singaporean expression to add emphasis to a phrase, like valley girls are like, totally saying, like, "like" all the time, etc etc...

To add further context, its like how Canucks tag on "eh" at the end of certain sentences. Here we are, me and Marc, trying to talk so that the rest of the world understands us, and here comes a Frenchman lost in Thailand upstaging us in our specialty Singlish slang.

How can like that ley? I tell you ah, you all ang moh dun play-play ok! Our Singlish is real stuff, cannot bluff one!

I actually needed to rack my brains to insert as much Singlish as I can into that paragraph. I just can't type it like I can say it.

BTW, I only edged Marc's car by half a nose the other night we had an impromptu drag to 80kph. I bogged down in first gear, had wheelspin in second, and must've shoved the accelerator pedal through the fire wall in order to save myself from the blushes of losing to an automatic car of the same model, and with bigger wheels to boot.

The titanium tip's probably a +2 hp item, so I expect my narrow margin to be trimmed further.

Aaah man now I really miss Malaysia...

Are there any Puah Chu Kang episodes on YouTube? That'll show them the quintessential Singaoprean humor and language

There isn't; but he did a rap song to raise awareness about preventing the spread of SARS (anyone still remember that epidemic? Vancouver got it bad too).

This thread is really... outta point. But etimago, u seem pretty localised.

I didnt go for an axle back coz it hardly adds any power, and its plain loud. I dont have a boxer engine, so it'll probably just be noise. Its illegal to boot here in Singapore.

Oh yes, I did a real performance mod too. My camber is now -1.5 deg, versus -0.5 stock.
