This bar will work with the back seats in the car. There have been pictures posted of that configuration before. I think Jay from San Diego did it?
That may be the case for the 1 piece bench seat, but it will not work for the 3 piece. The bottom bolts of the crossbar share the same holes as the rear bolts of the 3 piece bench seat.
