Congratulations on your purchase. I looked around and that EVO 4G is still a strong contender IMO. I played with the EVO 3G a bit and it is blazing fast, but I'm not a huge fan of the 3D picture thingy. Hurt my eyes!
There are faster phones out there, to be sure, but that EVO 4G is still a damn good phone.
However, I think at this point, I agree with the posters, I think we would get more out of the device if we root.
EVO just got Gingerbread over the air and it's nice enough (cosmetic differences mostly) but it's starting to get laggy, at times. Plus there are all these apps I don't need and can't get rid of, that are taking valuable space in the phone's internal memory.
Soooo, those of you who could do it in their sleep


(PK, Etimago, Kioshi, Altitude, etc.) could you kindly give us root-noobs some pointers so we don't have to roam each and every thread @ XDA ? :-)
