The latest craze of internet sites releasing stories is really just a way to grab attention and readership as this original information has been out there for a long time (think upwards of a year). The production version is said to produce 240bhp (not whp) and I haven't seen any torque numbers nor what the level of boost will be to accomplish the power ratings nor which mill they will be using. I would be very surprised that they would be using a 1nz again as it is an aged mill. They would want to move forward with a new mill as they plan on participating in WRC for several years again.

The base model Yaris meets the FIA homologation requirements, they don't have to build a production turbo model for sale. The WRC motor is a 1.6 direct injected, if they call it a 1NZ its in name only. The Yaris does not sell enough units worldwide to justify the cost of special model, wont happen.
