"Crispy" is a word I'd use to describe my current car's paint job, but not in a good way!

I don't think it had ever seen shade before I bought it. Most of the clear is gone on the hood, and the roof has been scorched all the way down to the primer.
I bought it as a beater to learn more about working on cars. There's been lots of learning, alright, and it's actually been a reliable car. It's gotten me to Oregon and back three times, and I always take the back roads, using a different route each time. I'm about ready for something newer, though.
Even a base Yaris has all kinds of luxury features my car didn't have when it was new, like a tilting steering wheel, adjustable headrests, power steering, folding mirrors, a radio, hubcaps, air conditioning, and a powerful 4-cylinder engine to top it all off.
Someone did add air conditioning to my car before I bought it, at least.
