ok... i'm not the one to post the updates on this, but i had to let this one out...
the "car-side" harness swap idea is actually pretty feasable all of a sudden (or i think it is). anywaiz, i surfed around and found this little $7 item: http://www.k4.dion.ne.jp/~vitz/EnglishTSlamp.htm ^basically, it looks like an adaptor of some sort to fit the jdm RS tails to the usdm/non-rs "car-side" (a.k.a. "body-side").
