Yaris's in my region are not made with a computer chip key and I thought it was that way for the whole USA. I got spare keys made at Wal-Mart for $1.16. That little plate with the numbers on it are for if you loose all of your keys. You take that plate to the dealer and they can use that number to re-create your original keys. Thats why they say to take that plate and put it into your wallet or somewhere in your house.
