What would be ideal?

I am going to get wheels but I can't decide between getting 15x6.5 wheels and put them on my stock bridgestone tires(185/60R15) or get some nice 16x7 wheels and put some nice sticky rubber on them. I am also planning on geting coilovers. It would be cheaper to get some 15's by about $600 however I'd feel safer with better rubber, Opinions ?

I was planning on getting konig feather with some toyo proxies 205/50
