Technically, the Sedan is slightly more aerodynamic and on the books, it's lighter by some 100-200lbs? This said, it does vary with the driver.

Bailout is the exception to the rule. He takes every single technique known to hypermilers and applies them. And there is a couple other LBs who I know break 49mpgs.

Now, I know for certain it's all style of driving. I break 47 mpg constantly and the most I've done is drive 55mph. So it can be done in either car. When it comes to hypermiling though, the LB's have some advantage I don't know off. When I tried my hardest, I barely broke 50 last summer. There was a LB drive here who wasn't bail out and he was doing 50 plus consistently for almost 2-3 months.
