Stop following so damn close to other cars.
I had my 07 for 2 years. over 30,000km and I had maybe half a dozen tiny little stone chips in the paint. Most were easily touched up with a dupli-color paint pen. I used to travel gravel roads into some gnarly camping/fishing spots, winter driven in snow storms and salt/hail etc. All of my cars/trucks looked like new even when ten years old, I would wash them once a week (Sat or Sunday morning) and wash, claybar, polish, seal wax every couple months... i'm on my second Yaris and no issues with the paint. I rust check 2 times a year with a can of Amsoil MPHD and have never had a rust issure either
