Caliper cleaning
So... my rear brake conversion kit, Carbotech pads and new front R1 rotors are showing up today. I'll probably get together with Mike in the next weekend or two and do the install. When we're replacing the front rotors and pads, since we'll have the calipers off, I thought I'd try to give them a good cleaning. Is there a solution I could dip them in that would help erode the dirt off of the silver caliper? I don't think soapy water and a wire brush is going to get them as clean as I'd like. After all, the new rear brakes will have a shiny new silver caliper, I'd like to get my front ones sparkly to match !!
