Garm, I was wrong in my previous post: you CAN listen to your iTune library while doing something else on the iPad.
I was in the neighborhood so I thought I' d drop in and say hello to my buddies at Apple ;) and yeah, they confirmed iTunes works. The problem is trying to multitask with third party apps. Don't take my word for it, though. Always good to double and triple check these things
