I wouldn't hold my breath for the U.S. The Prius is Toyota's darling. I don't know if they want a cheaper hybrid getting more mpg. Granted it will be smaller but still. Toyota is competing against itself. Also I read another article the FIT hybrid is outselling the Prius in Japan.
